Allotments
Allotments are seeing an upturn in popularity with more people wanting to grow and eat their own produce.
The area is divided into plots of different sizes, some having been split into two or three to cater for people with less time to tackle the larger plot size and to give an opportunity for more residents to have a plot. Allotment holders can grow fruit and vegetables and even flowers on their plot - all the Council asks is that the plot is fully cultivated to a reasonable standard and that no nuisance is caused to other plot holders. No livestock is permitted including hens or beehives.
Plots are available to residents of Watermead only. If you are interested in having a plot or would like to discuss it please contact the Parish Clerk on 01296 395211 or email: [email protected]
